I recently picked up a set of VW R Recaro wingback seats for my MK5 R32, and overall I’m really impressed with the quality and feel—especially considering they’re in very good used condition.
First thing that stands out is the design. These seats have that aggressive wingback look that instantly upgrades the interior to a more performance-focused, OEM+ style. They’re not just for looks either—the deep bolsters and bucket-style shape really hold you in place during spirited driving. Compared to standard seats, the support is on another level, giving you that “locked-in” feeling behind the wheel that performance enthusiasts love.
